The safety catch is a safety component for the counterbalance system of lifting doors. In conjunction with the other components it prevents the door from falling if a cable breaks and is suitable for redundant fall protection in line with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

• If a cable breaks, the revolving part jams against a counterbearing and wedges in position in the lateral guide profile
• One safety catch is required per cable, permissible load 25 to 250 N
• Mount the counterbearing (e.g. slider) as close as possible below the safety catch
• Can also be mounted without a frame on surface elements with adequate transverse rigidity
