FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Industry i90-P

What is the Glamox i90-P industrial lighting system and what are its primary industrial applications?

The Glamox i90-P is a professional LED industrial lighting fixture designed specifically for demanding manufacturing and production environments. This luminaire serves automotive assembly lines, pharmaceutical clean rooms, food processing facilities, and heavy machinery operations where consistent illumination and operational reliability are critical. The i90-P series delivers 60,000 hours of operational life with 4000K neutral white light output optimized for industrial visual tasks and quality control processes.

What are the key technical selection criteria for choosing between different Glamox i90-P variants?

Selection of Glamox i90-P variants depends on control system compatibility, mounting configuration, and optical distribution requirements. The series offers both DALI dimming protocol and high-frequency HF driver options for integration with building management systems. Mounting configurations include WB wide beam, NB narrow beam, MB medium beam, and XNB extra narrow beam optics, while installation types feature either CL clear lens or HTG high-temperature glass variants rated for elevated ambient conditions.

What international standards and certifications apply to the Glamox i90-P industrial lighting series?

The Glamox i90-P industrial lighting fixtures comply with EN 60598 luminaire safety standards and IEC 62471 photobiological safety requirements for workplace illumination. These luminaires meet ISO 14001 environmental management certification and carry CE marking for European market compliance. The 840 designation indicates 4000K color temperature with Ra greater than 80 color rendering index, conforming to EN 12464-1 workplace lighting standards for industrial visual tasks.

What are the main differences between DALI and HF driver variants in the Glamox i90-P series?

DALI variants like the I90361247 provide digital addressable lighting interface for sophisticated dimming control and integration with building automation systems, enabling individual fixture addressing and energy management protocols. HF high-frequency variants such as the I90361243 utilize conventional switching control with optimized electronic ballasts for installations requiring standard on-off operation without dimming functionality. Both driver types maintain the same 60,000-hour LED lifespan and photometric performance but differ in control sophistication and system integration capabilities.

What installation requirements and electrical connections does the Glamox i90-P system require?

The Glamox i90-P requires three-phase 230-400V AC power supply with protective earth connection and compatibility with standard industrial electrical infrastructure. DALI variants need additional low-voltage control wiring for digital communication protocols, while HF versions operate with conventional switching circuits. Installation demands robust ceiling mounting systems capable of supporting the luminaire weight and thermal expansion, with minimum clearances specified for heat dissipation and maintenance access in industrial environments.

What IP protection class and operating temperature range does the Glamox i90-P provide for industrial environments?

The Glamox i90-P achieves IP65 ingress protection rating against dust infiltration and water jets, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments including washdown areas and outdoor installations. Operating temperature range spans -30°C to +50°C ambient conditions, with HTG high-temperature glass variants extending upper limits for applications near heat sources or in elevated temperature zones. The C4 corrosion resistance classification ensures long-term performance in chemically aggressive industrial atmospheres.

What maintenance schedule and service life expectations apply to the Glamox i90-P industrial lighting system?

The Glamox i90-P LED system provides 60,000 hours of maintenance-free operation under normal industrial conditions, equivalent to approximately 15 years at 12 hours daily operation. Routine maintenance involves annual cleaning of optical surfaces and inspection of mounting hardware, with driver electronics requiring no scheduled replacement during the luminaire lifespan. The modular design enables field replacement of LED modules or drivers when necessary, ensuring minimal downtime and cost-effective long-term operation in critical production environments.
